Chris was our child of the day and did a wonderful child reading a Dr. Seuss book he brought from the Bartlett Library. He even shared a few notes about Dr. Seuss that he had prepared. Thanks, Chris!
1st graders took a MAP reading test today. This test is done on the computer and it is read to them. It assess their phonemic awareness skills. 2nd graders read while their friends were in the computer room.
We learned today in writing today about writing notes to others and how they should say what and why. We are working on real world writing this week as we have so many interruptions to our day this week. We will begin a new unit of study next week.
In math, 1st graders learned about counting coins and 2nd graders learned about the Part/Part/Total diagram for solving problems.
Tomorrow, the Bartlett Nature Center will be in as we learn about Balance and Motion.
