Tuesday Tales!

We were so busy today we didn't get to listen to Bela read. We will listen tomorrow to both Bela and Klara. She did a GREAT job as child of the day, though!

We began the day by reviewing our word wall words and then we did some MAP practice: test taking strategies.

We reviewed a few of the Non Fiction Conventions we have learned about and then continued learning about determining importance in reading. We worked on paraphrasing information we read about by using Time for Kids again today.

We also began learning about how to write Non fiction. We read Polar Animals and began a list of what we learned. We ran out of time and will continue with this tomorrow.

After lunch/recess, we worked on problem solving and writing a math extended response in our problem solving logs. 1st graders learned more about measurement and centimeters. 2nd graders worked on doubles and halves.

Have a GREAT night and don't forget to READ....READ....READ!!!
