Tuesday Thrills!

Aayush did a GREAT job reading a non fiction book about the weather to the class. Thanks...we really learned a lot!

What a fun day! Miss Bridget was a mystery reader and Nicole, a 3rd grader who was in our mulitage class last year, was ALSO a mystery reader!!! The students were so excited to see both of our old friends!!!!

Miss Bridget let the class choose a Just Right Book: College Physics or The Places You Will Go by Dr. Seuss! She graduated from South Elgin on May 23 and started college the following Tuesday! Whew!

It was GREAT to hear Nicole read. She shared with the class what 3rd grade was lot and what our 2nd graders have to look forward to! Thanks for coming, Nicole!

I'll post a video of our May and June mystery readers as soon as I can. Keep checking!

Just before lunch we had two 4th graders come in to read the Essays they had written in Mrs. Sansons' classroom. We were able to pick out the things we've been learning about: small moments...leads....transitions words...and more! Thanks for giving us an opportunity to learn from such great writers!

Don't forget tomorrow we have Simi's dad in to read the book he wrote. The students are VERY VERY excited and are preparing their questions! If you would like to purchase a book, send in $9.25 in a labeled/sealed envelope.
