Math Workshop: 1st graders learned about 3D shapes: pyramids and cones. 2nd graders completed the unit 8 checking progress. Look for it in their mail. Both grades worked on problem solving.
Readers Workshop: students learned more about determining importance in non fiction. They began their non fiction convention notebook today by learning about labels. See if they can tell you how a label helps the reader.
Writers Workshop: today they learned more about poetry and how to convey meaning.
Students also went to the library.
