We visited the book fair today and students took home their wish list. We will return to the library for any purchases they wish to make, tomorrow. Please send their funds in a sealed, labeled, envelope.
2nd grade students will take their MAP reading test tomorrow. Just get a good night sleep (as you always should!) and eat a healthy breakfast (which you always should!) and you will do FINE!!!
Math Workshop: 1st graders worked on attributes using pattern blocks. 2nd graders worked on fractions.
In reading, we read The Patchwork Quilt and made connections with The Keeping Quilt. We identified the little ideas weaved into the story to make the BIG IDEA!
In writing, students listened to music and wrote poems based on the sounds they heard.
We also practiced our readers' theater plays.
