Thursday Tales!

Gavin did a great job reading The Best Cake! Thanks, Gavin! We really enjoyed listening to you read!

During Math Workshop, 1st graders worked on Data Landmarks and 2nd graders worked some more on fractions by looking at sets. 1st graders also completed their unit 6 checking progress. Those will be going home soon.

In reading, we read the book The Gardener and learned that authors sometimes plant seeds of wisdom in their books. Then those seeds are in us and in time, grow and mature, as we read and learn more. We also worked on our readers' theater plays.

Most of the students are finished with their biographies, but all will finish tomorrow. We will begin poetry next.

On Thursday April 9, at 1:00, please join us for a Biography Fair. We will present our biography plays and you will have an opportunity to see our biography posters, brochures, and/or PowerPoint presentations.

Tomorrow is Art.
