Bradley was our child of the day and he read TJ's Tree. What a GREAT job he did to get our day started off with a book!
Since the kids will probably only remember the party....this morning we looked again at the pumpkin seeds. Yesterday, we estimated that there were 336 pumpkin seeds. We reevaluated our estimate after actually seeing the seeds. We revised our estimate to 166. Then we counted! Here are a few pictures:
The actual count was 512 pumpkin seeds. We discovered that the best way to count such a large number was to put them in groups of ten. As I was walking around, I loved hearing the math language: "Put them in groups!" "Let's count by two's...five's...ten's."
